Christmas Morning 1967: Stony Smith and G.I. Joe

Opening Christmas presents with my brother Andy, as my father looks on, and my mother is behind the camera capturing it all on Kodak film.

Department Store Santa 1964

I never liked going to see Santa, but I loved all the toys. Note that Santa's watch is on the outside of his glove. He needs to know when it's break time so he can get a sip from the flask.

Christmas 1965: Texaco Toy Fire Chief Helmet

Even at six years old I knew how to impress the young ladies, use funny hats and technology. I'm sporting the Texaco Toy Fire Chief Eagle Helmet with a working microphone and spreaker. You could buy these at Texaco Gas Stations back in the mid-sixties.

Texaco's slogan: "You can trust your car to the man who wears the star"

Christmas 1962: Santa brings The Playmobile Deluxe Dashboard

This is the single most coolest toy I ever remember having. It was so detailed: battery powered with a working motor, wipers, signals, horn, sounds, lighted dash board and gauges. In my adult life I've never had a real car with as cool of a dash. Also check out that AM transistor radio off to the left side. I'm sure soon after that was opened, it was tuned-in to WLS playing all the hits from December 1962.
