Halloween in the Twenties featuring True American Icons at their Roots

Felix the Cat sitting on a 1920's Chevrolet. That giant grin is about to be turned upside down when that hood heats up.

That creepy old Halloween sound effects record that my teacher would play in elementary school

I cannot find any information about an old vinyl record (can't remember if it was a 7" or LP) with a bunch of Halloween sound effects. I know we would listen to it in school (so it existed around the late 1970s and early '80s).

I want to hear it again just for the sound of Martians eating the bones of an astronaut. That always freaked me out the most.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Any vinyl hounds that could track it down? MP3s? As far as I can remember it is not a Disney produced record.

Halloween 1971 was a Drag

At 12-years-old with a little help from Mom and two older sisters, I took a walk on the wild side. Young and innocent with no thoughts of prejudice. Going from house to house looking for candy, the cool autumn breeze of Chicago was blowing up my skirt. I don't remember all the details, but I'm sure all it took was some friend telling me "you can't dress-up as a girl for Halloween".

Check-out the cool toys in the background, Milton Bradley's Bash and Ideal's Battling Tops. See if you can spot and name others.
