My Star Wars Birthday Cake and Star Trek Decorations, Summer 1978

Finally! This cake picture from my sixth birthday party ("1978" is written on the back by my mother), proves I have been a Star Wars fan from the beginning. Why my parents thought to mix this grocery store bought Star Wars cake with Star Trek licensed decorations is beyond me. What poor taste.

I remember preserving the cake toppers for years after the cake was devoured. You can see the Death Star, C-3PO, R2-D2, the Millennium Falcon, and three Tie Fighters. R2 is all, "Beep, Beep, Beep."

I know I liked Star Trek at the time too.

Shaun Cassidy First REAL Crush

Shaun was my first REAL crush in life! My room was plastered with posters of him and I played his records nonstop. How sad, I used to cry because I was so in "love" with Shaun! I remember all of my posters were completely ruined because I would put on my roller lipgloss and kiss the picture of Shaun every morning and night! Pretty funny when I think about it now...LOL!

Shaun Cassidy My Teen Idol

As a tween, Shaun Cassidy was my one and only teen idol! I remember writing a fan letter and waiting for the mail to come! Just hearing his songs play on my record player or watching an episode of The Hardy Boys could make all of my troubles go away! What I wouldn't do for those simpiler times! Without Shaun, my little tween world would have been a little less happy!

That creepy old Halloween sound effects record that my teacher would play in elementary school

I cannot find any information about an old vinyl record (can't remember if it was a 7" or LP) with a bunch of Halloween sound effects. I know we would listen to it in school (so it existed around the late 1970s and early '80s).

I want to hear it again just for the sound of Martians eating the bones of an astronaut. That always freaked me out the most.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Any vinyl hounds that could track it down? MP3s? As far as I can remember it is not a Disney produced record.
