This pic is from October 1965. Me in my pajamas on a sea of pillows, having a choke hold on my Cuddly Dudley stuff toy. If you grew up in the Chicagoland area in the sixties or early seventies, you know just how cool and rare this toy was.

WGN just aired a special Thanksgiving morning that included information about this doll. It was given away with Chicago Tribune newspaper subscriptions. Due to its popularity it was made into a puppet on a local kid's show, "Ray Rayner and Friends." This is all before my time, and I only moved to Chicago in 1991. The only show I remember in a similar bent was Captain Kangaroo.

Could stuffed animals save print now?
