Shaun Cassidy First REAL Crush

Shaun was my first REAL crush in life! My room was plastered with posters of him and I played his records nonstop. How sad, I used to cry because I was so in "love" with Shaun! I remember all of my posters were completely ruined because I would put on my roller lipgloss and kiss the picture of Shaun every morning and night! Pretty funny when I think about it now...LOL!

Proof Positive

I take pictures. I document history in the making. My cat rolls over and yawns. I take a picture. My baby sneezes. i take a picture. Someone coughs. Someone else sneezes. Picture, right? How much is too much? Can anything stand out in the vast sea of digital files that people are snapping every second of every single day?

Christmas~Almost 1972

The day before Christmas, 1971, was spent laying in my bed and not moving an inch. I had suffered an extreme bout of vertigo and the only way to get over it, was to lay motionless until it passed. Nothing could get me out of bed, or so I thought. But as the sounds of Christmas went on downstairs without me, I just had to hatch a plan. I could hear presents being opened, the paper ripping and the "oohs and ahhs" that ensued. Wasn't anyone noticing I was not there? Didn't someone have a present for me???

1969: My Funky Pant Suit and a Historic Moon Landing

Looking at this photo you might think my memory would be about that funky pant suit I'm wearing. But the real memory that immediately comes to mind is about that TV.
I watched the first moon landing back in 1969 on that TV. I can remember sitting on the floor in front of that very TV with my parents sitting behind me in their favorite chairs. All of us watching as Walter Cronkite reported on history being made. Back in 1969 landing on the moon was the kind of stuff fantasy was made of and live TV coverage was rare.

My Mother / May 1967

I have been blessed with a wonderful mother. This photo was taken in Chicago - May of 1967(maybe Mother's Day). Check out that cool portable AM radio with the leather cover on her arm. Purse and radio, she is ready for a day out on the town.

Alice in Disneyland circa 1969

Disney's version of Alice, the March Hare, and the Walrus characters walking around Disneyland in August of 1969. My family went to Disneyland when we were kids. My Dad or my Mom took this pic of fans mobbing Alice and her friends. Even back then everybody loved Alice!

Bozo and Dad circa 1967

Hanging out with my Dad in our 1960's earth tone decorated home. Browns and greens seem to be the palette of choice. I'm sporting a ultra cool Larry Harmon's Bozo - "The World's Most Famous Clown" sweatshirt.
